As the founding member of Alabama Consumer Law Group LLC., Harvey B. Campbell, Jr. has been an advocate for consumer rights for 40 years. After graduating from The University of Alabama in 1973, Mr. Campbell attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He graduated in May of 1977. He has been a member of the Alabama State Bar since September 1977 and a member of the Federal Bar for the Northern District of Alabama since December 1977. Mr. Campbell is a Proctor of Admiralty, as well, and handles cases that require the special laws of the waterways and seas.
Mr. Campbell was a founding member of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Alabama State Bar. He is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. For 40 years, his main practice areas have been litigation, arbitration, consumer rights and bankruptcy law. He has helped many who have been physically and/or economically injured by large corporations including banks and insurance companies. In doing so, he has won monetary judgments in the millions.
While at the University of Alabama Mr. Campbell was employed by the University of Alabama as an archaeologist and worked across the State of Alabama assisting in gathering artifacts to aid in the drafting of environmental impact statements in an effort protect aboriginal archaeological sites. He still pursues his passion for artifacts and the environment by spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren at the banks of the Talladega Creek that runs through the family farm.
